Summary

Prof Jim Crawley is a Professor of Haemostasis in the Centre for Haematology within the Department of Immunology & Inflammation.

He graduated from Durham University in with a BSc in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry, and obtained his PhD from Imperial College London in 2001. He joined the Haematology Department in 2002 as a post-doc, and was appointed to a fast-track to Lecturer scheme in 2005. In 2006 he was awarded a BHF-funded basic science Fellowship. In 2010, Jim was promoted to Senior Lecturer and to Reader in 2013. His research interests include structure/function analyses of various proteins involved in haemostasis/thrombosis, including ADAMTS13, VWF, TFPI, protein S and SLC44A2.
