Newark Working Kitchens was established in April 2020 as an immediate response to food insecurity as a result of Covid-19 in Newark, New Jersey. By turning independent local restaurants into community kitchens, NWK is able to keep neighborhood kitchens working by preparing meals for residents in greatest need.

Is a donation to Newark Working Kitchens tax deductible?
Yes. Newark Working Kitchens is a fund in the Community Foundation of New Jersey, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.
